Even if you have a Froyo phone, it still need root apps to run some uncommon Android apps those requires you to have root access. There are some rooting tools available for you on internet that could be easily to download and to be used. I have at least 3 top rooting apps to do root on Android for your Eclair or Froyo. You can use these tools easily, even it only need to have one click.
